A bone fracture can be the result of high force impact or stress, or a minimal trauma injury as a result of certain medical conditions that weaken the bones. Types of fractures are closed fracture, open fracture, transverse fracture, spiral fracture, comminuted fracture, impacted fracture, greenstick fracture and oblique fracture.
The diagnosis of the fracture usually consists of x-rays and the treatment can be a cast or complicated medical hardware insured to hold the bones together as they heal.
Besides being extremely painful, it is very difficult to function when you fracture your dominant wrist and have a cast on it. Who will pay the bills? Who will clean the house? When my medical hardware is removed, who will pay for rehabilitation that I need to recover? These are common questions we hear on a regular basis. Our lawyers have the answers.
Accidents such as slip and falls and high speed motor vehicle accidents are the most common cases where broken bones occur. For more information contact one of our injury lawyers for a consultation.
